Today we are shining our spotlight on a supplier that offers hen and stag party experiences that offers something a little bit special and memorable.
We recently met and got talk to Kate Phillips over at the family run business Tinkerbell Tent Hire whilst at The Little Wedding Helpers Tweet-Up taking place at Goldbrick House in Bristol.
Tell me a little bit about yourselves and your background.
I'm a mum of 2 children and my background is in marketing. I've resigned from the corporate world to start up something I'm passionate about. I love the outdoors, camping and sharing the love of luxury camping with others to enjoy!
How long have you guys been offering pre wedding party services?
We recently moved back to Bristol after living in Canada for 2 years and started up Tinkerbell Tent Hire from April this year!
Can you summarise what it is you guys offer? And what makes you different from other hen/stag party suppliers?
Although Hen/Stag Party's is popular with events in our Bell tents we also create Bell Tent Villages for weddings and big birthday occasions as well as festivals.
How many people do you regularly cater for at these events?
Hen/Stag party's are normally around 15-20 people and Wedding and special events can be over 100 people, every event is individual depending on requirements.
Can your tipis be adapted or used in anyway for weddings?
Wedding's outdoors are becoming more and more popular and we create a lovely Bell Tent Village for guest accomodation. Our Bell Tent we provide for the happy couple includes a real bed and mattress and al the furnishings to make it extra special.
How much do your services start from and what consideration will parties need to take into account?
Our services start from £250. Considerations when booking need to be location and venue hire, where the bell tents can be pitched and easy access for the guests.
Do you cater in one specific site or can you move around venue to venue? How do you and your clients plan and decide where to hold the hen/stag parties?
We cater all around the South West, the clients pick the venue. This can be private farmland, specific wedding Venues or campgrounds.
Do you have any particularly exciting plans lined up for the business?
I have just been nominated and become a winner of 'The Mumpreneur Awards' for 2015 which is very exciting! Plans for next year include more South West Festivals and Weddings.
