Continuing our look at the Pantone inspiration series for the Spring/Summer 2016 season may we introduce to you the next look - Snorkel Blue.
This one is for the bride who wants a colour choice that is dominant and saturated yet can be elegant and unobtrusive at the same time.
For the groom and his party blue hues have been garnering huge amount of interest over the past couple of seasons and this upcoming season will be no exception. We have also seen a rise in long dark navy bridesmaids dresses for 2015 weddings so Snorkel Blue feels a natural progression of this shade. Snorkle blue is using a hue that is more similar to maritime hues and pops a little more that navy does.
It couples extremely well with browns and teals and detailing should include hints of gold to pull together a really classy look. To us the look feels incredible similar to the Newport style of housing seen in the USA.
For flowers consider whites flowers and pops of soft peach coupled with silver toned foilage. Large blooms tends to work the best with this theme and they will be a great addition for your wedding photography.
For grooms this colour works fantastically in the form of tuxedo suits and oversized bow ties are particularly en vogue at present, thus shunning the traditional wedding cravat.
For fabrics consider, using white lace, silk ribbon and check/blue tartan to add a sense of depth with the textures on show during the day.
For food the instant thought is to go blueberry! This is the perfect shade to accompany this theme and a personal piece of advice would be to get some blueberry and lemon curd muffins made to use as wedding favours, not only will the look the part but they always taste immense!
So dive into Snorkel Blue this season for a wedding a wash with colour!
